How I launched my product for less than $10K as a non-technical founder.
The painful (and expensive) lessons I learned before finally cracking the code.
I launched my tech business as a non-technical founder for less than $10K and in under a month. A week after launch, I had 200 paying customers generating $24K in annual revenue.
But like most “overnight” successes, this one took years to figure out. For three years, I tried every option available to non-technical founders and got burned at every turn, until I figured out how to do it right.
I started with an offshore agency. They took $40K, constantly upsold me on features I didn’t need, and left me with nothing usable. Then, I tried assembling a team of freelancers from Upwork, spending thousands trying to get them to work together. It was a disaster. Zero ownership, zero commitment, and an endless cycle of blame.
I also tried finding a CTO, but the reality is that any engineer worth their salt already has a well-paying job. No one wanted to spend nights and weekends on an unproven idea.
Then I came across a comment on Reddit from the founder of a venture studio called Byldd, and that changed everything. They provided a full product team, engineers, designers, testers, a product manager, and even a CTO, without me having to hire or manage them directly. The focus was clear: launch fast, validate quickly, and start making money.
With their help, I launched my product for just $10K in about a month. A week after launch, I had 200 paying customers and was already making $24K annually.
The best part is that they’re super startup focused - the goal is to get to market quickly and start making money from customers as fast as possible. Byldd’s founder, Ayush, is also super savvy and has helped a bunch of founders build VC backed businesses, so he gives really solid advice on what you need to think about.
Looking back, the biggest lesson was that speed and execution matter more than anything. The faster you can get your product into the hands of real users, the sooner you can start iterating and growing - and that’s what the Byldd team emphasized from day 1. If you’re a non-technical founder struggling to build, don’t waste years like I did, find the right support system, and focus on getting to market as quickly as possible.
