You’re overcomplicating it.
The holy trinity of tool stacks
For years, building a web app meant endless coding, configuring databases, and praying nothing broke.
Oh how times have changed… what used to take weeks of development can now be done in minutes—even if you don’t know a single line of code.
Let’s break it down…
We wanted to build a directory-style web app that showcases different software tools. A few years ago, this would have required:
Wireframing the design
Writing front-end and back-end code
Setting up a database
Syncing everything together
But now? We just told Lovable AI, an AI-powered app builder, what we wanted—and it literally did the work for us.
✔️ It generated the app’s design and layout
✔️ It wrote all the necessary code
✔️ It set up a fully functional UI
All in a few minutes.
Once we had our app, the next challenge was making it dynamic—pulling in live data and syncing changes instantly. Traditionally, you’d need a developer to set up APIs and write custom logic. Instead, we used one-click integrations to connect:
Suddenly, our app wasn’t just a static prototype. It was a real, working product powered by live data.
Here’s where it gets even better. Instead of constantly updating data manually, we added Whalesync, a tool that automatically syncs data between Airtable and Supabase in real time.
This means:
Non-technical users can update the app using Airtable’s simple interface (yes, even the intern)
Changes are reflected instantly—no need for manual updates
Data stays consistent across both platforms
No engineers. No debugging. No stress.
AI is making web app development ridiculously easy.
A few years ago, this kind of setup would’ve been expensive and time-consuming. Now, it’s fast, automated, and accessible to anyone.
What used to take weeks now takes minutes.
What used to require an engineering team now requires just you and an AI-powered toolkit.
